Sawmill Road to Play at Bowers!  June 6, 2008 Line-up changes happen, such is the way in the music business.  When our headliner cancelled recently we were so lucky to find that Sawmill Road had an opening in their busy festival schedule to step in that day!  If you haven't heard of Sawmill Road, you will.  They are making bluegrass news with their new CD, "1", they won the National Bluegrass Playoffs at the Huck Finn Bluegrass Jubilee, and will be showcased by the IBMA at their 2008 convention.  Check out their website and sound at http://www.sawmillroad.net/main.htm

And if that isn't enough to whet your bluegrass appetite, take a look at the rest of the line-up:  The Monday Night Volunteers, The Biggest Little Bluegrass Band, Wild Horse Drive, The Bar BQ Boys, Wild Creek, and Sidesaddle & Co.

Then take a look at what's happening all weekend at Davis Creek Campground! On Friday night, August 15th we're hosting a show at the campground Amphitheater featuring a jam at 7:30, then Nevada Rain takes the stage at 8:30pm. On Saturday evening after the Bowers Stage closes we'll host a contra dance at Davis Creek Campground! After the dance gather at the fire pit in the group camping area to jam into the night. And on Sunday morning, August 17th we host a gospel show at the campground Amphitheater featuring Jim Lappin & Friends, Wild Creek Gospel Trio, West Wind and the Hava Juice Trio. Except for the camping fee, events at Davis Creek Campground are Free! You'll want to get your reservation in for the group camping area - send your request to nnbamailbox@sbcglobal.net Reservations are taken on a first come basis. Spaces for trailers/motor homes are nearly gone but there's still lots of space for tents. Folks can also camp in the regular campground with a short walk to all the Davis Creek events. Bower's Festival is about 2 miles away. Check out the Bowers Festival website at www.bowersbluegrassfestival.org .
